Your What?..... Tin Roof Rusted

Tuesday March 3rd 2009, I'm pregnant!!

Signs, Signs everywhere there's signs....... the weekend before I knew I was pregnant we spent at Holly Bullman's mountain cabin for a relaxing staycation. We ate great food, soaked in the hot tub and later in the evening sang karaoke. Holly Thorpe came for the weekend as well and suggested we sing Love Shack by the B52's. As we start to rehearse, my lyric in the song was to call out "tin roof rusted" after Corey exclaims "your what?" Having no idea what this line meant Holly explains that "Tin Roof Rusted" means a girl who becomes unexpectedly pregnant.

That next week on Tuesday March 3rd I had made an appointment at a new chiropractic office called Awaking Heart. When I walked in there were all these pregnant women in the waiting room along with pregnancy reading material and a belly cast on the wall, I thought to myself am I in the right place? Unknown to me at the time their specialty is maternity care. I went home and started to have some menstrual cramping, I was one day late and knew it was coming soon. I'm never late even by one day so just to ease my mind I took a pregnancy test (I had some on hand being off Birth Control) and it was positive!!!. I think I was in shock for a few days but very excited. Ben was absolutely ecstatic!! he held me as I cried knowing that our lives were about to change drastically( for the better) and at this moment I feel in love with him all over again.
